The Reservoir, a sharply funny and emotionally rich new play by Jake Brasch, opens on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Gil Cates Theater at Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. Presented in partnership with Denver Center for the Performing Arts and Alliance Theatre, the production runs through July 20, 2025.

Directed by Shelley Butler, the play follows Josh, a young man whose life is unraveling—until his overbearing yet endearing grandparents step in with tough love, dark humor, and unsolicited advice. From Jazzercise classes at the JCC to deeply personal family reckonings, The Reservoir blends humor and heart to explore memory, aging, and the path to healing.
