
The South Pasadena Public Library welcomes acclaimed television host, director, and writer Mark Bedor for a special lecture on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the Library Community Room, located at 1115 El Centro Street, South Pasadena, CA 91030. Admission is free and no registration is required.
Bedor will discuss his award-winning television series, Today’s Wild West, offer behind-the-scenes insights into the production of documentary-style TV, and share his passion for all things Western. The event is open to all community members.
Celebrating the American West Through Storytelling
Today’s Wild West is a family-friendly, half-hour documentary series showcasing the vibrant spirit of the West. The show features cattle drives, dude ranches, Western art and music, Native American culture, historic landmarks, and more. It airs on PBS in 89 markets across 32 states, and is also available on Tubi, YouTube, and other platforms.
With 45 episodes filmed in 14 Western states, the program captures the enduring magic of the West through authentic stories and visuals.
About Mark Bedor
Mark Bedor is a three-time winner of the National Cowboy Museum’s Western Heritage Award. A seasoned journalist and storyteller, Bedor has also worked as a freelance magazine writer-photographer, authored two Western coffee table books, and served as a news writer at KCAL9/CBS2 in Los Angeles.
Now focused full-time on exploring and preserving the culture of the American West, Bedor often brings his guitar along on his travels—entertaining guests around campfires at ranches and Western events.
