The 60th Pasadena Showcase House of Design is officially open to the public, celebrating decades of creativity, community, and philanthropy. Held at the reimagined Bauer Estate & Gardens, a 1928 Monterey Colonial estate with over 15,000 square feet of living space on five acres, the event runs through May 18, 2025, offering immersive tours, on-site dining, boutique shopping, and live entertainment.
Gala Premiere Night Raises Over $215,000
The estate was unveiled during the Premiere Night Gala on Friday, attended by over 370 guests including members, designers, and supporters. The evening raised more than $215,000 to benefit Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts’ music programs and grantmaking initiatives, which include full funding for schools and organizations impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires.
Proclamations honoring the 60th Showcase House were presented by Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo and LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, recognizing its longstanding contribution to the arts and the local community.
Over 30,000 Guests Expected to Tour the Estate

The Bauer Estate underwent a rapid four-month renovation, now featuring 30+ interior and landscape design spaces created by celebrated designers like Jennifer Bevan Interiors, Ashley Marie Design, Black House Beige, Carmine’s Design & Decor, and Samantha Williams Interior Design, among others.
An estimated 30,000 visitors will tour the estate through May 18. Guests can enjoy the Shops at Showcase, on-site restaurants and bars, weekend brunches, docent-led garden tours, and musical performances featuring local talent.
A Creative Outlet After the Eaton Fire
The Showcase House provided a source of healing and inspiration for designers who lost homes in the Eaton Fire. “It brought our community together to celebrate our resilience and support one another,” said Benefit Chair Marybeth Rehman-Dittu.
Design advisors Jennifer Bevan and Samantha Williams led this year’s creative vision. Paint sponsor Dunn-Edwards—now celebrating its 100th year—debuted its centennial color Viridian Odyssey and featured “Caramelized” as the 2025 Color of the Year.
Supporting Music, Arts & Local Youth
Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts, the nonprofit behind the event, has supported music and arts programs since 1948. This year alone, it awarded $1 million in grants to 90 nonprofit organizations, marking a legacy of over $27 million in total contributions.
The organization’s hallmark programs include:
-
Music Mobile (over 130,000 3rd graders introduced to orchestral instruments)
-
Instrumental Competition (over $700,000 awarded to talented musicians)
-
Youth Concert (260,000+ 4th graders brought to Walt Disney Concert Hall with the LA Phil)
