PARKING TICKETS COMING BACK: The City of South Pasadena will resume enforcement of overnight parking restrictions and 72-hour parking violations starting April 7, 2025. These regulations, which were temporarily suspended due to the Eaton Fire, are being reinstated as recovery efforts progress to ensure public safety and community accessibility.

Temporary Exemptions for Displaced Residents

To assist individuals and families displaced by wildfires, exemptions from overnight parking permit requirements will be available until May 5, 2025. Eligible applicants must provide one of the following documents:

  • Proof of Residence: Utility bill, lease agreement, or government-issued ID showing the affected address.
  • Official Evacuation Notice or Emergency Declaration: Documentation from local authorities (fire department or emergency management agencies) confirming residence in an evacuation zone or declared disaster area.

How to Obtain a Parking Permit

Individuals who require overnight parking should obtain a permit, which can be conveniently purchased online at www.southpasadenaca.gov.

For more details on parking regulations, permit applications, or enforcement policies, visit the City of South Pasadena’s website or contact the South Pasadena Police Department at (626) 403-7270.
