“If you haven’t yet checked out The Daily (Next to the soon-to-be Trader Joe’s at 1119 Fair Oaks Ave) it’s time to get yourself over to our new Wednesday home,” says Wine & Song curator, Brad Colerick. “The facade is currently under construction but you’ll be rewarded if you can find your way in. Great food and drink options. Doors open at 6:00. Show starts at 7:00. See you there!”
Korey Simeone co-founded and leads the badass bluegrass/Americana band Ikes Creek in which Tom Moose is also a member. Korey made his mark in Austin touring internationally with acclaimed neo-vaudeville outfit, The Asylum Street Spankers, and bluegrass satirists, The Austin Lounge Lizards. When you get these two great musicians together you’re in for a mighty fun night of music — great songwriting, virtuosic instrumental skills, and a touch of Smothers Brothers humor.
NPR called Garrison Starr “A Lucinda Williams for Gen X’ers.” She is the quintessential musical triple-threat, singer, songwriter, Grammy-nominated record producer, and her soon-to-be-released full-length album, Garrison Starr and The Gospel Truth, reveals her at the height of her powers. Starr calls the new collection of songs, “Swamp Gospel Hymns for Humans,” the next chapter in her story of recovery and healing from her Evangelical Christian upbringing.
