Final Wine & Song at Lost Parrot Cafe | Wednesday May 22

This Wednesday, May 22, 2024 marks the final Wine & Song of its Lost Parrot Cafe residency. What a terrific run of incredible shows at a great, local venue! The following week will be in Brad Colerick’s backyard, followed by an evening at Kutzer courtyard. They will be dard for two weeks and then will start up a new residency at Mamma’s Brick Oven Pizzeria on June 26. Visit WineandSong.com for upcoming show details.

May 22 at Lost Parrot Cafe will feature Gregg Hill and Summer Woods with the music kicking off at 7pm

Gregg Hill never thought of himself as a performer until he moved to New Orleans. Inspired by the artists who call the Big Easy home, he honed his skills while forging relationships with those artists. The singer, guitarist and pianist recruited two of the city’s finest — bassist/vocalist Roland Guerin and drummer Doug Belotte — as the rhythm section for his latest album, Bayou St. John, named for the region that connects Lake Pontchartrain to the Mississippi River. It’s also the place where Hill wrote most of the album’s eight tracks.

Summer Woods is a striking musical up-and-comer with a refreshingly straightforward and classic approach to the singer-songwriter genre, colored with her irresistibly quirky way of telling stories and sharing messages of relentless optimism. Hailing from the small suburb of Chino Hills, she is a recent graduate of Los Angeles College of Music. She has a wonderful video worth checking out of a song called “Pasadena.”
