An Evening of Folk, Storytelling, and Acoustic Harmony
Music lovers in South Pasadena are in for a treat as Wine & Song welcomes Eric Brace, Thomm Jutz, and Willa Lucille for an intimate performance at The Daily (1119 Fair Oaks Ave). The event takes place on Wednesday, March 19, with doors opening at 6 PM and music starting at 7 PM.
Eric Brace & Thomm Jutz: A Musical Partnership Forged in Resilience
The last time Eric Brace graced the Wine & Song stage, he was accompanied by his long-time musical partner, Peter Cooper, who tragically passed away in 2022. Following this loss, Brace found a steadfast collaborator in Thomm Jutz, a talented guitarist who had previously worked with both Brace and Cooper on multiple albums. Their shared passion for storytelling and heartfelt songwriting led to the release of their first collaborative album, “Simple Motion,” in February 2024. With intricate acoustic guitar arrangements and rich harmonies, the duo continues to honor their musical journey.
Introducing Willa Lucille: A Rising Folk Talent
Opening the evening is Willa Lucille, a singer-songwriter with roots in Nebraska who now travels the country in a converted school bus named Bessie. She started playing guitar at age nine, drawing inspiration from folk music and her father’s influence. Her heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies offer listeners an intimate glimpse into her nomadic lifestyle and deep reflections on the human experience.
