Another great show coming up Wednesday for Wine & Song at Lost Parrot Cafe. Don’t miss Cej and Powdercoat with special guest Eliza Bee! Doors at 6pm, show starts at 7pm.
Cej was born in Chicago and raised in Southern California. He taught himself guitar by playing along to Woody Guthrie songs. After a brief stint in college as a music major, he dropped out and joined a rock band. Twelve years, three bands, and three albums later, he returned to school and got a masters degree in social work. He had a 10-year run in the Joel Rafael Band before his debut solo album was released in 2013.
Powdercoat is the enchanting duo of Kristin Mooney and Claire Holley. Kristin is from St. Paul, Minnesota and Claire from Jackson, Mississippi. The met in Los Angeles and began singing together after a mutual friend introduced them. They had an immediate vocal chemistry and soon began writing together. Their debut self-titled EP was recorded by Greg Herzenach with the help of a handful of stellar musicians. We’ll also hear from Eliza Bee making her Wine & Song debut.
