The Pasadena Tournament of Roses® Foundation has awarded more than $200,000 in grants to 18 outstanding organizations serving the greater Pasadena area. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded nearly 300 grants to invest in people through sustainable programs.
Grants were made possible through the Foundation’s fundraising efforts, including the 2025 Golf Classic presented by J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., which raised more than $140,000. These grants support programs in education, sports and recreation, and the visual and performing arts – benefiting people of all ages in the community.
The Foundation’s 2025 Golf Classic, presented by J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., was a resounding success, helping make it possible for seven organizations to receive grant support from the Tournament of Roses Foundation for the first time.
This year, one $35,000 grant and one $20,000 grant were awarded, in addition to 16 other community initiatives that received grants of up to $10,000.
• $35,000 grant – Since 1986, the San Gabriel Educational Foundation has worked closely with district leaders, community members, educators, and parents to provide supplemental resources and innovative programming that promote academic achievement, wellness, and creativity across all TK–12 campuses. The grant will support the SGUSD TK-12 Library Modernization & Literacy Equity Initiative, which will address aging collections and limited access across SGUSD schools, ensuring students have access to accurate, current, and representative information reflecting the world they are entering.
• $20,000 grant – The Monrovia Wildcat Band Boosters support and sustain the Monrovia High School Musical Arts Program by providing equitable access to music and performing arts education. The grant will support 100+ high school students and invited 7th–8th grade Clifton Middle School participants in band, color guard, orchestra, choir, and drumline through uniforms, instruments, equipment, transportation, and competition fees. Activities include rehearsals, performances, and competitions at Monrovia High School and venues throughout Southern California.
