Caltrans announces overnight lane and ramp closures the week of June 22 for bridge work at U.S. 101 and State Route 2/Santa Monica Boulevard as well as State Route 110 at Avenue 60.
Motorists will experience closures at the following locations and times:
U.S. 101 and State Route 2/Santa Monica Boulevard
Up to one lane of eastbound Santa Monica Boulevard between Western Avenue and U.S.101 closed:
From 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily Monday night through Friday morning
From 11:59 p.m. Friday, June 26, to 7 a.m. Saturday, June 27
The U.S. 101 offramp to Santa Monica Boulevard closed:
• 11:59 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily Monday night through Friday morning
• 11:59 p.m. Friday, June 26, to 7 a.m. Saturday, June 27
The Normandie Avenue onramp to U.S. 101 closed between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily, Monday night through Saturday morning
NOTE: These closures will not be in place between 5 a.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday due to a World Cup construction moratorium for work on U.S. 101 between Interstate 5 and State Route 27
The Avenue 60 onramp to SR-110 closed:
• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily Monday through Friday
• 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily, Monday night through Saturday morning
Additionally, the posted speed limit will be reduced by 10 mph in each of the construction zones. Signs alerting motorists of the closures and reduced speed limits will be posted.
Closures and lane reductions are subject to change due to weather or operational reasons.

This work is part of a $15.8 million project to upgrade existing bridge rails to current standards and increase the durability and longevity of four bridges on U.S. 101 at Alvarado Street, First Street and Santa Monica Boulevard/State Route 2 and SR-110 at Avenue 60.
