THEFT

• 9-1-21, 1:00 PM to 1:03 PM, 1800 block of Petersen. ’05 Toyota Prius. Suspect cuts and takes loss from victim’s vehicle. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, wearing a hooded black sweatshirt, black pants, grey face mask. SUSPECT VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: Black BMW X5 with Texas license plates. LOSS: Catalytic converter.

• 8-28-21, 3:00 PM to 9-1-21, 10:30 AM, 200 block of Fair Oaks. ’01 Honda Accord. Suspect(s) cuts and takes loss from victim’s vehicle. LOSS: Catalytic converter.

• 9-1-21, 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM, 400 block of Fair Oaks. ’09 Toyota Prius. Suspect(s) cuts and takes loss from victim’s vehicle. LOSS: Catalytic converter.

• 9-2-21, 12:41 AM to 1:18 AM, 1100 block of Magnolia (attempt). Officers respond to a catalytic converter theft in progress. Officers locate suspects who are found to be in possession of burglary tools, outstanding warrants, and drug paraphernalia. SUSPECTS ARRESTED: S1 – Male, Hispanic, 28 years, Los Angeles. S2 – Male, Hispanic, 44 years, Los Angeles.

• 9-3-21, 11:00 PM to 9-4-21, 10:00 AM, 1400 block of Stratford. ’19 Volkswagen Jetta. Suspect(s) take loss from victim’s unlocked vehicle and makes several unauthorized charge. LOSS: Wallet, bank cards, identification card, jewelry, USB security key, U.S. currency.

• 9-5-21, 7:00 PM to 9-6-21, 7:00 AM, 1900 block of Mill. ’04 Toyota Prius. Suspect(s) cuts and takes loss from victim’s vehicle. LOSS: Catalytic converter.

FRAUD

• 8-28-21, 12:00 AM to 8-31-21, 12:46 PM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Bank of America). Suspect(s) use a fraudulent debit card to make several unauthorized withdrawals.

• 8-31-21, 5:00 AM to 6:00 AM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Bank of America). Suspect(s) use a fraudulent debit card to make an unauthorized withdrawal.

• 8-14-21, 12:00 AM to 8-28-21, 11:59 PM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Bank of America). Suspect(s) use a fraudulent debit card to make several unauthorized withdrawals.

• 8-21-21, 12:00 AM to 8-30-21, 11:59 PM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Bank of America). Suspect(s) use a fraudulent debit card to make several unauthorized withdrawals.

• 9-1-21, 2:40 AM to 7:00 PM. Suspect(s) take check from mailbox and alter the payee information before cashing the check.

• 8-2-21, 12:00 AM to 8-25-21, 12:30 AM. Suspect(s) use victim’s information and makes several unauthorized transactions.

• 9-6-21, 7:00 AM to 7:30 AM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Bank of America). Suspect(s) use a fraudulent debit card to make an unauthorized withdrawal.

• 8-31-21, 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Bank of America). Suspect(s) use a fraudulent debit card to make an unauthorized withdrawal.

ROBBERY

  • 8-31-21, 7:25 AM, 1400 block of Fremont (South Pasadena High School). Suspect approaches victim and claims to be in possession of a firearm and demands that victim hand over wallet and phone. Victim hands over wallet but refuses to give up the cell phone, which results in a physical altercation. Victim alerts a nearby school staff member and suspect runs away. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, 14 or 15 years, wearing a black beanie, black jacket, blue jeans, and a medical face mask.

STOLEN VEHICLE

• 9-1-21, 10:55 AM to 11:14 AM, 300 block of Monterey. ’03 Chevrolet Tahoe.

• 9-2-21, 1:12 AM to 1:18 AM, 400 block of Prospect (attempt). ’06 GMC Sierra. Suspect(s) pry door lock to gain entry into victim’s vehicle then pry ignition but fail to start vehicle.

AUTO BURGLARY

• 8-8-21, 3:00 AM to 3:30 AM, 1600 block of Huntington. ’18 Mazda 3. Suspect(s) smash the rear window of victim’s vehicle to gain entry. LOSS: Unknown.

• 9-5-21, 2:15 PM to 2:18 PM, 700 block of Mission. ’16 Subaru Forester. Suspect smashes the front passenger window of victim’s vehicle and take loss and enters an awaiting vehicle. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Hispanic, shaved head, wearing a gray shirt. SUSPECT VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: White Lexus SUV. LOSS: Wallet, driver’s license, miscellaneous cards, U.S. currency.

PUBLIC NUISANCE

  • 9-3-21, 12:15 AM to 12:31 AM, 1400 block of Mission (South Pasadena Police Department). Suspect causes a disturbance as officers attempt to investigate a crime as they speak to a victim. Suspect accosts multiple subjects as they approach the police station lobby for assistance. Officer advises suspect of arrest if suspect continues to be disruptive. Suspect continues to be disruptive and refuses to leave the area after being advised to do so. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Black, 42 years, transient.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY

• 9-3-21, 5:55 AM to 6:30 AM, 1000 block of Mission (Mike & Anne’s). Suspect gains entry into business by forcing open the front door. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Hispanic, 31 years, Kingman, AZ. LOSS: None.

• 9-2-21, 8:30 PM to 9-3-21, 5:52 AM, 700 block of Fair Oaks (La Mein Chinese Food). Suspect(s) gain entry into business by smashing a door window. LOSS: U.S. currency.

ASSAULT

• 8-29-21, 12:04 PM, 1100 block of Fair Oaks (Vons). Suspect is stocking shelves and strikes victim with his elbow as victim walks by.

• 8-31-21, 12:30 PM, 1400 block of Fremont (South Pasadena High School). Subjects get into a physical altercation with victim. Subjects and victim are students.

• 8-31-21, 11:33 PM to 11:58 PM, 600 block of Arroyo. Unsafe turning movement.

• 9-3-21, 5:32 PM to 5:46 PM, Huntington/Fletcher. Failure to yield.

Non-injury Traffic Collision

• 8-30-21, 3:13 PM to 3:23 PM, 1300 block of Fremont. Tailgating.

• 8-31-21, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1600 block of Fair Oaks. Hit and run.

• 8-28-21, 6:00 PM to 8-29-21, 11:07 AM, 300 block of Pasadena. Hit and run.
