Shakespeare By the Sea (SBTS) will return for two visits to South Pasadena this summer.

On July 19, the theatre company will present “The Winter’s Tale” at Garfield Park. “The Merry Wives of Windsor” will be on stage August 2 when cast members make a return visit to the city.

Both free performances begin at 7 p.m. Picnics are welcome and guests are encouraged to bring coolers, blankets and low sitting chairs.

SBTS was launched in 1998. Over the years, the nonprofit organization has blossomed and today presents a repertory season that runs for 10 weeks – four in San Pedro and six more in venues throughout LA, Orange and Ventura counties.

Garfield Park is at 1000 Park Avenue.  For more information, contact the city’s Recreation Office – 626-403-7380.
