The Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library present Tien-Hsin Cindy Wu Piano Quartet on Sunday, January 20, performing the works of Dvorak and Faure in the Library Community Room.

The quartet features violinist Tien-Hsin Cindy Wu, Michelle Gasworth on viola, Ross Gasworth on the cello, and pianist Ines Irawati. Tickets are $20 at the door for the 4 p.m. concert.

Praised by the Seattle Times as “Simply marvelous” and Taiwan’s Liberty Times for “astonishingly capturing the spirit of the music,” Violinist Tien-Hsin Cindy Wu enjoys a versatile international career as a soloist, chamber musician, and educator.

Wu performs regularly in Asia, Europe and North America, at prominent venues such as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center, Library of Congress, Deutsches Theater München, among many others.

The Friends’ Restoration Concert Series brings world-class musicians to South Pasadena in the lovely setting of the historic Library Community Room.

Proceeds from the concerts are dedicated to the ongoing enhancement of the Library.
