ONEONTA CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH | ‘Oneonta Outdoor’ Program

Oneonta Church South Pasadena

Oneonta Congregational Church is currently offering “Oneonta Outdoor”, a live worship service on the courtyard lawn at Oneonta. Anyone who wishes to participate is encouraged to bring a blanket and lawn chair, just like people have done in the past for the July 4th fireworks show, and for the concerts in Garfield Park. Chairs will be available for those who do not bring their own.

The services will begin at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday until worship services inside the Sanctuary can resume. We hope to resume Sanctuary services quite soon.

State guidelines for outdoor events will be observed, including 6-foot distancing and face masks. No items will be handled; a collection box at the entrance will replace collection plates. Unfortunately, in response to medical advice, there will be no  common singing, at least for now. Also, the Church still cannot offer food, drink, or child care. The restrooms will be open – and sanitized.

Oneonta Congregational Church will continue all on-line streaming services on Sunday, and on-line small group events at other times. These experimental streaming services have proven popular during the Covid-19 pandemic shutdown.
