The annual South Pasadena Prayer Breakfast will be held May 5 with a theme: “A Better Normal: Nurturing Compassion in Our Community.”
Young & Healthy Pasadena Executive Director Mary Donnelly-Crocker will be the keynote speaker during the 8 a.m. free event at Oneonta Congregational Church in the city.
Committee members say the theme offers hope that individuals might emerge from the pandemic with greater empathy and respect, and with an improved wellness – not only in physical health, but in mental and spiritual health as well.
Donnelly-Crocker has served as executive director for Young & Healthy, a nonprofit that provides quality health care for underserved children in the greater Pasadena area, since its inception 32 years ago.
