New Hollywood String Quartet Performing Soon!

The NEW HOLLYWOOD STRING QUARTET will perform a Debussy Quartet, Haydn’s op. 76 no. 5, and Stravinsky’s “Three pieces for String Quartet,” Sunday, May 27, 2018 in the Community Room of the South Pasadena Public Library – 1115 El Centro Street, South Pasadena, CA 91030 – $20 at the door – Information: 626-799-6333 Tereza Stanislav – violin, Rafael Rishik – violin, Robert Brophy – viola, and Andrew Shulman – cello, are involved in orchestral, chamber, recording and music film projects.

They are recipients of many awards, have performed in music festivals world-wide and are also advocates of new music.

Ms. Stanislav has a Master of Music from Juilliard and was appointed Assistant Concertmaster of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra by Music Director, Jeffrey Kahane. Mr. Rishik was a Juilliard student at the age of 6 and now performs on a rare Joseph Rocca violin.  Mr. Brophy began his studies of violin in England, taught by Wen Zhou Li, and went on the to royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, England. His Master’s degree came from Rice University. Mr. Shulman was the first ever British winner of the “Piatigorsky Artist Award”, gives masterclasses the world-over, conducts and composes, and is now the principal cellist with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra.
