After over 50 years in the stand-up comedy club business, Pasadena’s Ice House is in the process of updating the club and incorporating some new show ideas and dinner package offerings.

The Ice House is excited to introduce their newest show, “Hollywood Comes to Pasadena.” Offered on Fridays and Saturdays, “Hollywood Comes to Pasadena” is a six act comedy show, featuring top tier comedians and entertainers, along with ‘Mystery Guests”, who drop in to do a set and surprise the audience. Before the show, Ice House guests can hang out the newly redecorated patio to enjoy “close-up” magic performed by magicians and illusionists from Hollywood’s famed Magic Castle. After each show, guests who purchased admission will get to spin a “Gift Wheel” to win free prizes, like Ice House collectables, stuffed polar bears or a free stay at Pasadena’s glamorous Hotel Constance!

On some Sundays, The Ice House will offer a dinner and show package. For only $24.50, the “Sunday Bistro’ package includes a three-course dinner, with salad, choice of entrée and dessert, as well as admission to the show that evening. Dinner will be served in the dining room or on the patio and diners will have special seats reserved for them in the showroom. Dinner seating is limited, so customers are encouraged to purchase their packages early, as this offer is worth $40 and seats will sell out quickly.

Established in 1960, The Ice House is the oldest operating comedy club in America. With a star-filled roster of past and present performers, including Jimmy Fallon, George Lopez, Jay Leno, Bill Maher, George Carlin, David Letterman, Steve Martin, Bob Newhart, Lily Tomlin, Marc Maron and Dana Carvey, it is a favorite of comedians and stand-up aficionados alike. Its success is due in part to its reputation for showcasing the best upcoming talent as well as the biggest stars of today in an intimate, welcoming setting. In 2014, it was recognized as one the Top Five Comedy Clubs in the country by researcher Dr. Peter McGraw and author, Joel Warner, writers of The Humor Code: A Global Search for What Makes Things Funny.

With over half a century of laughter under its belt, The Ice House looks forward to continuing to provideworld class stand-up comedy to its devoted guests and to introduce this iconic venue to a new generation of comedy fans.
