Media Release
Volunteer Members spread joy throughout Pasadena with hundreds of red roses.
In celebration of National Red Rose Day, volunteer Members of the Tournament of Roses will surprise hundreds of people with long-stemmed red roses in Old Town Pasadena. This act of spreading cheer embodies the Tournament of Roses’ community spirit.
The red rose, the iconic symbol of the Rose Parade® and Rose Bowl Game®, has long been recognized as a symbol of love and gratitude – and it is with gratitude that the “White Suiter” volunteer Members will take to the streets of Pasadena with 400 roses.
Tournament of Roses Members will ride a Foothill Transit bus wrapped in images of red roses before arriving at the media event. After the President gives brief remarks, the Members will walk to Colorado Blvd. handing out red roses along the way!
