National Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, at Orange Grove Park in South Pasadena.
Slated from 6 to 9 p.m. various city services personnel will be available to answer questions.
This event is designed to promote community camaraderie “and make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live,” explained Officer Richard Lee, with the South Pasadena Police Department. Come meet your police, fire, and various other city departments.”
Those taking part can learn how they can get involved with the community through Neighborhood Watch, CERT and the Public Safety Commission.
In addition, there will be information on Project Life Saver, a new program that expedites finding of missing juveniles and adults who are developmentally disabled or have other cognitive disorders. Individuals wear bracelets that can be tracked.
National Night Out will also feature game booths for children and food trucks.
