Live Oaks Tennis Association’s 4.5+ team takes National Championship

A heated match is settled with a tiebreaker

South Pasadena’s Live Oaks Tennis Association has garnered a National Championship for the City!

The club’s Men’s 4.5+ took out the field in Las Vegas at the national tournament the weekend of October 19, 20 and 21. In the final they defeated the NorCal team 3-2 to take home the championship. With the team match tied at 2-2, the deciding doubles went to a match tie-breaker, captain Kenny Pedroza and partner Blair Slattery squeaked out a 13-11 victory in the tiebreaker giving Live Oaks their first National Title.
