This will be the 12th bi-annual $10 Lesson Day held in South Pasadena and a great opportunity for you and/or your child to explore new instruments while giving to a great cause.

South Pasadenan parent Fiona Lummis found the school through their last $10 lesson event and says of her son’s experience, “Gus likes Michael’s teaching and manner very much. I think he inspires because he is the real thing and doesn’t have to put on the “teacher air”, which, as a teacher, I appreciate!”

SPEF Executive Director Stacey Peterson says, “Green Brooms has been a very generous supporter of SPEF, not only through these fundraisers but also through donations to support SPEF events.” Peterson explains that because SPEF values and helps to fund many of the arts programs at SPUSD and Green Brooms works with many of our South Pas students, it is a natural community partnership. She goes on to say, “SPEF greatly appreciates Green Brooms’ generosity and their mission to increase music awareness in South Pasadena.”
The academy offers a range of lessons including voice, drums, guitar, bass, ukulele, violin, viola, cello, banjo songwriting and music theory.
