Free Flu Shot Clinic and Blood Pressure/Glucose Screening at Farmers’ Market October 12, 2017

Have you had your flu shot yet?  If not, stop by the South Pasadena Farmers’ Market on Thursday, October 12.  Community Outreach nurses from Huntington Memorial Hospital will offer free seasonal influenza vaccinations from 4:30 – 6:30 pm (while supplies last).  Vaccines are available on a first-come, first served basis.

The following eligibility criteria must be met in order to receive an immunization:

Vaccines are for adults aged 18 years and over, and for children aged 9-17 years with parent/guardian present for consent

No allergy to eggs or previous influenza vaccine

No history of Guillain-Barre syndrome

No serious illness or fever on day of vaccination

Huntington Hospital will also be offering blood pressure and glucose screenings will also be available free of charge from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

While you’re at the Market, check out some of the new and seasonal farmers and vendors that have recently joined the Market, including apples, several varieties of squash, yams and sweet potatoes are now available!  Drake Goat Cheese is back, and there is a new vendor selling several different types of granola. Visit the Information Booth for locations of these and other favorite farmers.
