Monsignor Clem Connolly, Spiritual Director of Holy Family Catholic Church, will address the fifth annual South Pasadena Prayer Breakfast on February 18, 2020. The popular event will take place at Oneonta Congregational Church, 1515 Garfield Avenue, South Pasadena, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and tickets are selling fast. Tickets may be purchased online at www.sopasprayerbreakfast.org.
“Our planning committee chose to focus on the theme of civil discourse this year as an acknowledgement to the way our words shape society.” says Rev. Lincoln Skinner, President of the South Pasadena Prayer Breakfast. “How we speak to one another is often just as important as what we share. We are grateful to have Monsignor Connolly as our keynote speaker this year because he has gained great insights while addressing this challenging subject throughout his ministry career and faithful service to the public. It is our hope that this event will spark a conversation about the way we have conversations with God and one another—contributing to a kinder, better, and more unified society.”
The South Pasadena Prayer Breakfast is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by local citizens and funded entirely by private donations and ticket sales. Since 2016, we have “Gathered South Pasadena to Pray and Serve,” raising a total of $15,000 for local charities and programs. This year’s event will raise funds for Showers of Hope, Firefighters Quest for Burn Victims, and Elizabeth House.
