The Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena is hosting a Fall Family Festival this Sunday, October 22, from 1-3pm. This is free for children and is sure to be an art-filled and certainly interesting way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Enjoy fun-filled, creativity-themed activities throughout the festival; Create your own costumes inspired by artwork from the collections, join interactive tours, create your own storybook, engage with musicians in the galleries and delight in story time. 
Free admission for children. 
Limited free parking is available at the Museum.

Guided Tours

Spark your creativity on a 30 minute interactive tour of artworks in the collection.

Storytime
1:15 p.m. Where the Wild Things Are
Follow the  story of a boy named Max and his imaginative journey to the land of the Wild Things. Then, make a drawing inspired by the story.

2:15 p.m. This is Sadie
Learn about Sadie, a little girl with a very big imagination. Then, make a drawing inspired by the story.

Art-Making Projects
1:00–3:00 p.m.

Art-inspired Costume-making
Turn yourself into a work of art! Make costumes inspired by paintings in the collections and then take photos of yourself inside reproductions of frames from the galleries.

Make Your Own Art Adventure Book
Create a storybook as a family. Grab a blank book in the Entrance Gallery and then choose paintings from the collection to tell a story. 

Music in the Galleries
1:00–3:00 p.m.
Interact with students from the Colburn School as they play music in galleries.
