Doggy Day, with Cats Too!

Canines and felines invited to spend the day a Garfield Park in South Pasadena

It was a doggy dog world on Saturday at Garfield Park in South Pasadena.

A variety of breeds, joined by their owners, enjoyed idea weather in the mid-70s for the 10th annual Doggy Day, with Cats Too event.

Dog and cat owners were invited to the free day of animal fun to meet and learn about the various animal resources available in and around the community. Adoption agencies, groomers, dog trainers, day care providers, fitness providers, vets, and merchandise providers along with food and beverage booths contributed to the event’s success.

One of the highlights featured a performance by the Disc Dogs in Southern California as dog leaped and chased down Frisbees during an upbeat demonstration.

Participating organizations included: South Pasadena Animal Commission, Church of Truth, Pet Food Express, Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue, Pet Porter Pals, Pasanita Obedience Club, Canine Colors, Stop the Dog & Cat Meat Trade, Pet Care by Tiger, the Urban Pet, My Dog Spot, K9 Loft, Planet Doggy Inc., Sandy Smith and Dexter Del Monte (pet communicators).
