Plant some seeds, add a little water and watch it grow.
Seemingly, that’s all it took for South Pasadena’s community garden to flourish today. Now in its third year, tours of the popular garden will be available to the public on Friday, April 20, from 5 to 7 p.m., as part of an Earth Day Celebration. The garden can be found at 1028 Magnolia St. in South Pasadena.
Nearly 40 local families lease beds at the site where they have planted colorful flowers and vegetables.
The garden showcases drought-tolerant landscaping and serves as a pocket park that is open to the public.
Those interested in acquiring a bed for planting are encourage to go to www.southpasadenaca.gov for more information.
