City of South Pasadena Hosts Business Networking Event October 12

The City’s Economic Development Team will be hosting the second Business Networking Event on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Library Community Room, located at 1115 El Centro Street, South Pasadena, 91030. Staff hosted their first Business Networking Event on June 29, 2022 and experienced a successful turnout with over 70 business representatives.

The team will launch the fall edition of a Major Projects and Developments newsletter, focused on highlighting major projects and efforts of the Community Development and Public Works Departments, and provide a presentation on this. Additionally, the team will be launching the City’s Guide to Doing Business, a user-friendly document and resource for new and existing businesses.

Partner agencies will provide resource booths, including the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC), U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CALOSBA), Pasadena City College’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Institute for Redesign of Learning (RL), and the South Pasadena Library who will be providing professional growth and career resources.

In addition to the resources and networking opportunities that this event will offer, staff will raffling a free business promotion video production to a business to be used in their digital marketing efforts. The business networking events are also an opportunity for South Pasadena businesses to network in an effort to grow and support the local economy.
