Care First South Pasadena | ‘Know Your Protest Rights’ Virtual Workshop Tuesday

The meeting will discuss several topics that apply to those who wish to take to the streets

Care First South Pasadena, a local advocacy group/coalition calling for the reallocation of police funds to more social services, is holding a free virtual workshop about protest rights on Tuesday, October 20 at 7:00 p.m..

According to the official Instagram page, the seminar will discuss several key factors to consider when protesting:

  • What to know before you go
  • Keeping each other safe
  • Interactions with Law Enforcement
  • If and when there are arrests

The Los Angeles chapter of the National Lawyers Guild will be a part of the discussion, sharing its expertise with viewers. The Guild is the “oldest and largest progressive network of public interest and human rights activists working within the legal system.
