The exhibit will feature students in her Brush painting class at the Huntington Botanical Gardens. Nan had taught at the Gardens since 1995 and is delighted by the overwhelming interest in Chinese/Japanese Brush painting and the success of her many students.
The exhibit, “CAPTURED MOMENTS IN TIME” will run from September 18th through November 2nd.
Aptly titled, the paintings display the fine art of Brush painting, expressing a subject with a minimum of brush strokes, all done without making a sketch first or corrections on the paper. There will be a reception on Saturday September 22nd, 2-4 PM for the artists where refreshments will be served and visitors will have a chance to talk with the artists and learn more about this intriguing art form.
