The South Pasadenan Americana fixture presents a new E.P with a traditional flare

Little Silver Hearts are thrilled to announce the release of their latest E.P., “California”, available everywhere on January 15, 2019.

California is the fourth release from this Americana band since their award winning debut album in 2017. It features four new songs written by singer Sean Lowenthal as well as a cover of “Buena” by the band Morphine.

The California E.P. was recorded in two days at Montecito Music and Media in Sierra Madre, CA with Billy Burke engineering and Ed Donnelly producing. The record was mixed at The Compound Studio in South Pasadena. Along with Lowenthal on vocals and acoustic guitar the band includes Kaya Shaffer on drums and vocals, Tim Fleming on Pedal Steel and Dobro, Allen Moreno on lap steel and slide guitar, Chris LaCagnina on upright and electric bass and Ed Donnelly on keyboards and banjo.

“We wanted to capture the chemistry the band has developed playing hundreds of shows together over the past 18 months so we recorded live with the band all in one room like they did in the old days at Sun Studio.” – Producer and keyboardist Ed Donnelly.
