Next up in the Restoration Concerts, the fantastic series that brings ‘world-class music to its community at large for a very reasonable price’, will be a night of Jazz and Classical Violin on March 10.
The bill will feature the Cesar Franck Sonata – Ben Powell (violin) and Leo Marcus (piano).
The Jazz portion will feature Ben Powell (violin) and Bryan Pezzone (piano)
Ben Powell – violin – ‘British born, classically trained, and a brilliant jazz violinist, who says:
“I’ve been playing for a very long time from “in my mother’s womb”, she herself a classical violinist and teacher; and then I started to play violin when two years of age followed by eight years of aural dictation through the Suzuki method. As a teenager, Stephane Grappelli, one of the best known jazz violinists in history, became my hero.”
