Members of the Rotary Club of South Pasadena heard a program from Laura Wending of the Cancer Support Community Pasadena at its regular meeting on July 31.

Wending, a cancer survivor, explained the many services offered by this 501 C3 non-profit organization operating out of Pasadena.

The CSCP is one of three Cancer Support Community organizations in Southern California and covers patients from the San Fernando Valley to the Inland Empire.  They offer educational opportunities, healthy lifestyle classes, and special programs to cancer patients, survivors, and family members.

The next South Pasadena Rotary meeting will be a monthly social event on Tuesday, August 7, at 6 p.m. at the Canoe House.

The Rotary Club meets every Tuesday at noon in the Tower Room at the Oneonta Congregational Church except for the first Tuesday of the month when they meet at the Canoe House at 6 pm.  Anyone interested in learning more about Rotary is invited.
