The first concert of the 2021-22 Restoration Concerts Series took place at 4:00 p.m. at the Library Community Room last Sunday, Sept. 12. It was the first performance held in the building since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
The performance was sold out. Piano trios by Beethoven, Shostakovich and Brahms were performed by Ambrose Aubrum, violin, Cecelia Tsan, cello and Steven Vanhauwaert, piano.

At the event, Kay Rosser, retiring co-chair, was honored for more than two decades of service with the Series.
Pandemic protocols were in place, with a limit on the number of attendees and a requirement that face masks be worn, regardless of vaccination status.
The Series is organized by the Restoration Concerts Series Committee, which is part of the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library. All proceeds benefit the library.
