New Teachers Make Good Impressions | School Board Welcomes Innovation

Karen Reed calls them “an amazing addition to our staff,” talking about the 18 new teachers who were introduced during last week’s South Pasadena Unified School District Board of Education meeting.

“They have all gone through a rigorous interview process and background check,” explained Reed, the SPUSD’s assistant superintendent of human resources. “Some of our teachers had multiple offers from other districts and they chose us. So, I’m very proud to have them here.”

Board President Suzie Abajian, a former teacher, told the group: “I hope you have a great teaching experience and a wonderful school year.”

• Priscilla Dea, AV, 3rd grade – Future Mandarin Dual Language Immersion teacher
