Arroyo Vista and Monterey Hills Elementary Schools invited parents, grandparents and friends to their respective campuses last Thursday for open house, an annual ritual that allows students an opportunity to showcase their work.
As part of the year-end event, guests come and go during the scheduled hours, as teachers may be discussed individual student progress, generally recognizing the standout work of students.
In addition, students fill classrooms with displays and assignments as appreciative parents praise their work.
