The annual grassroots fundraiser returns to the Arroyo Seco, uniting golfers of all skill levels to fund the city’s historic, self-built floral masterpiece.
Every year, a dedicated army of local volunteers transforms raw steel and fresh petals into an award-winning floral ambassador for our city. But keeping the oldest continuously running self-built float in the Rose Parade moving forward requires immense community backing alongside that volunteer labor.
To help meet those critical fundraising goals, the South Pasadena Tournament of Roses (SPTOR) committee is inviting neighbors to hit the green for a day of friendly competition and civic pride. The 2026 South Pasadena Tournament of Roses Golf Tournament will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Golf Course at the Arroyo Seco, located at 1055 Lohman Lane in South Pasadena.
According to the official event flyer, registration kicks off bright and early at 7:00 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. The main event features a best ball scramble format, ensuring players of all experience levels can contribute to their team’s success while enjoying the lush local course.
High Stakes!
While the tournament is rooted in casual, community-focused fun, a few special challenges will bring some extra excitement to the fairways.
The most anticipated stop on the course is Hole #17, where golfers can enter for a chance to win a spectacular $10,000 grand prize with a single, perfect hole-in-one. This high-stakes challenge is generously sponsored by local favorite Mamma’s Brick Oven Pizza & Pasta.
The community spirit extends across the entire tournament, with Shaw, Moses, Mendenhall Insurance serving as the headline event sponsor to help protect and preserve our city’s homegrown parade tradition.
A Day of Civic Celebration
The tournament is designed to be a full day of entertainment that extends well beyond the final putt.
Immediately following the action on the course, participants will gather for a celebratory luncheon, an awards ceremony acknowledging the day’s top performers, and special prize drawings.
