The Arts & Culture Coalition of Altadena (ACCA) and the Eaton Fire Collaborative announce Creative Workers Rising, a resource fair dedicated to supporting artists and creatives impacted by the 2025 Los Angeles Fires. The event will take place on:

Born from loss and rooted in hope, this gathering directly addresses the urgent needs identified in ACCA’s March 2026 Creative Worker Survey. The survey revealed that many artists are struggling to survive without financial support, a stable income, creative spaces, and community connections. Across Altadena and its surrounding communities, artists lost their homes, cameras, computers, ceramics, paint supplies, woodworking tools, production equipment, and entire studios, disrupting not only their livelihoods but also the creative identities deeply woven into the region’s cultural fabric.
“When the unthinkable happens, we need to use our hands, eyes, and hearts to create,” said Alma Cielo of 1000 Voices Altadena Mosaic. “Resilience grows, and recovery happens magically through the spirit of art and community.”
Creative Workers Rising will serve as a restorative space where musicians, dancers, storytellers, filmmakers, and artists from diverse backgrounds can gather with family and friends in solidarity and heal with dignity. Through resource support, wellness services, art workshops, live performances, networking, and creative collaboration, the event seeks to nurture both immediate recovery and long-term renewal.
This event honors Altadena’s legacy as a beacon of diversity and artistic innovation, a place that has nurtured world-renowned creatives for generations. Its rich and layered history has nurtured world-renowned artists, writers, musicians, and visionaries whose influence continues to shape Los Angeles County and beyond. “Along with the beauty of the foothills, a diverse collection of accomplished artists are a natural resource in Altadena,” stated Rasheed Ali, Executive Director of Digital Rain Factory.
The Arts & Culture Coalition of Altadena (ACCA) builds connection, communication, and restorative transformation for fire-impacted creatives while preserving Altadena’s vibrant cultural legacy, as part of a larger movement to rekindle community and restore artists’ lives.
