The South Pasadena High School Alumni Association invites all SPHS alumni to gather for the annual All-Class Alumni Reunion Picnic on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Garfield Park. The picnic will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and is open to graduates from every class year.
“We are proud to continue this wonderful tradition, which has brought SPHS alumni together for more than 40 years,” said Alumni Association President Mike Thurman. “It is always special to see graduates from so many different decades reconnect, share memories and celebrate their Tiger pride.”
Lunch will be served at noon by alumni volunteers and will include picnic favorites such as hot dogs, soft drinks, bottled water, chips, and chocolate chip cookies. There is no admission charge, and the food and refreshments are provided free of charge.
The annual picnic is more than a reunion. It is also an opportunity to support the next generation of SPHS students. Each year, the Alumni Association raises funds for scholarships awarded to graduating seniors pursuing higher education. Last year, the Association awarded more than $62,000 in scholarships and it expects to exceed that level this spring.
Volunteers are also welcome. Anyone interested in helping with setup may arrive between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. at the gazebos near the playground area in Garfield Park.
Whether you are reconnecting with classmates, meeting alumni from other generations, or simply celebrating your SPHS roots, the picnic is a great way to enjoy the spirit and tradition of South Pasadena High School.
