The City of South Pasadena invites the community to attend its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the War Memorial Building, located at 435 Fair Oaks Avenue.
The ceremony will bring together residents, local leaders, veterans, and community partners to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the United States.
The program will include welcome remarks from Mayor Sheila Rossi, a color guard presentation by Boy Scouts Troop 333, and a performance of the National Anthem by South Pasadena resident AwenRose Miller. Local dignitaries will also be recognized and provide brief remarks.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Don Oliva, a United States Navy veteran who served in Naval Aviation, specializing in the maintenance and mission readiness of F/A-18 Super Hornets. Oliva currently serves as President of the Pasadena City College Veterans Club, where he continues to support fellow veterans and their families through his work with the Veterans Resource Center.
Following the ceremony, attendees are invited to enjoy refreshments in the lobby, view the Legion Room, and listen to live bagpipe music performed by Megan Kenney.
The event is free and open to the public.
