The South Pasadena City Council will meet on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the Amedee O. “Dick” Richards Jr. Council Chambers to discuss a packed agenda. Local residents can attend in person or tune in online to hear updates on vegetation management, community events, and city planning.

Program Highlights

The 7:00 p.m. Open Session will kick off with an exciting presentation recognizing the 4th of July Poster Contest Winners.

South Pasadena Real Estate

The council will also review an agreement with Capra Environmental Services Corporation. If approved, this will bring targeted goat grazing and vegetation management to the Monterey Hills area of South Pasadena. This eco-friendly initiative is capped at a cost of $29,750.

Other important items on the Open Session agenda include:

  • A public hearing to introduce a completely revised Noise Regulation ordinance for the city.

  • An expenditure plan for the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Street Improvement Program, funded by SB 1.

  • Approval of plans for the North South Corridor Intelligent Transportation Systems on Fair Oaks Avenue.

Special Session & Real Estate

During a Special Session at 7:01 p.m., Mayor Sheila Rossi and the council will issue a proclamation declaring May 2026 as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

Additionally, the 5:00 p.m. Closed Session will cover real property negotiations for 1055 Lohman Avenue, involving Troon Gold, LLC and Grass Clippings Development, LLC.
