The South Pasadena Repair Café will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Library Community Room located at 1115 El Centro Street. This free community event provides a space where volunteers help residents fix personal and household items to encourage reuse and reduce waste.
Available Repair Services
Volunteers will offer various specialized services on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees can bring in a variety of items that need a “second chance at life,” ranging from electronics to greenery.
Available services include:
-
Bike tune-ups and technical diagnosis.
-
Small appliance repair for household electronics.
-
Clothes mending and costume jewelry repair.
-
Plant diagnosis for struggling houseplants.
Participation Guidelines
To ensure as many neighbors as possible receive help, the event limits repairs to two (2) items per person. Please note that service availability and successful repairs are not guaranteed by the volunteers.
“It is the perfect place to take your broken small appliances and worn clothes for a second chance,” says the event organizers. Patrons must provide their own replacement parts, such as specific buttons, wires, or bike tubes, as needed for their specific repairs.
