The beloved Wine & Song series returns this Wednesday, April 8, to the Dinosaur Farm “Speakeasy” in South Pasadena, featuring performances by country artist Quenby and blues vocalist Miss Emily. Doors open at 6:00 PM with the music starting at 7:00 PM. This unique venue requires attendees to enter from the back alley of the shop. The event features a relaxed, community-focused atmosphere. Beverages and light snacks will be available for guests to enjoy during the performances.
Featured Artists
This week’s lineup brings a mix of Americana, outlaw country, and soulful blues to the stage:
- Quenby: A Montana-based songwriter known as country’s newest outlaw. Her music blends cosmic country with warm Americana, focusing on themes of hard-won wisdom and authenticity.
- Miss Emily: A Juno-nominated artist and three-time Female Vocalist of the Year at the Canadian Maple Blues Awards. Her sound is a “soul-drenched gumbo” of blues, jazz, and old-school R&B.
Organizers hint that local favorites often drop by, with rumors circulating about a potential appearance by South Pasadena’s own Ed Donnelly.
“It is always a joy to welcome new voices to our community,” says series host Brad Colerick. “Don’t forget the password is ‘Pterodactyl’ for entry this week.”
