WISPPA Annual Meeting Set for November 1 Featuring Mayor Pro Tem Sheila Rossi

Join WISPPA’s Annual Meeting on Nov. 1 at the South Pasadena Senior Center. Mayor Pro Tem Sheila Rossi to speak on the new SB79 housing bill.

Women Involved in South Pasadena Political Action (WISPPA) invites the community to its annual in-person meeting this Saturday, November 1, at 10:00 a.m. at the South Pasadena Senior Center, 1102 Oxley St. Coffee and conversation will begin at 9:30 a.m., and all are welcome to attend.

This year’s featured guest speaker is Mayor Pro Tem Sheila Rossi, who will discuss SB79, the recently signed housing bill by Governor Gavin Newsom. The new legislation overrides local zoning laws to allow higher-density housing within a quarter-mile of high-frequency transit stops, a topic that has drawn considerable local interest and debate.
