Pasadena Humane is thrilled to announce a special Free Adoption Day on Saturday, October 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For this one-day-only event, adoption fees will be waived—thanks to a generous donor—for all available dogs, cats, and critters.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet a wide variety of adoptable animals and speak with knowledgeable staff and volunteers to find the perfect match for their family. Whether you’re a first-time pet parent or looking to adopt again, Pasadena Humane’s team will be ready to help make the right placement for every household.
“There’s nothing quite like the joy of seeing a shelter pet go home with a new family,” said Chris Ramon, CEO & President of Pasadena Humane. “We hope to see many more of our animals find the loving homes they’ve been waiting for, and Free Adoption Day is a wonderful opportunity to give them a fresh start.”
With several hundred animals currently in the shelter, this event comes at an ideal time. Fall offers the perfect season to adopt a pet and help them settle into a new routine before the holidays.
All adoptions include a spay or neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines, and a microchip. Standard adoption screenings and procedures will still apply, and a pet license fee may be required depending on location.
Attendees are kindly asked to leave personal pets at home to ensure a safe environment for all visitors and adoptable animals. Pets are adopted on a first-come, first-served basis, and potential adopters are encouraged to browse available animals in advance at pasadenahumane.org.
