As part of Southern California Edison’s (SCE) long-term plan to modernize the energy grid and reduce wildfire risk, the company will be conducting electrical grid maintenance work in South Pasadena.
Residents may see crews or approved contractors performing this work in their neighborhoods. This project will involve the use of heavy equipment, road closures or encroachments, and temporary scheduled outages. Helicopters may also be used to assist in the installation of upgraded equipment.
Upgrades are scheduled to take place between October 14, 2025 and January 30, 2026. Affected households will receive notifications from SCE regarding planned outages related to this work, which will occur in the Southwest Monterey Hills area.
