The Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) will host its annual Firefighters’ Memorial Service on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at its headquarters located at 1320 North Eastern Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90063. The event honors the courage and sacrifice of fallen LACoFD personnel and brings together department officials, firefighters, and families for a moment of reflection and remembrance.
This year, five brave firefighters will be formally memorialized and added to the LACoFD Memorial Wall, serving as a lasting tribute to their service, courage, and dedication to protecting Los Angeles County residents.
Honoring Five Heroes
The following LACoFD members will be remembered and honored during the ceremony:
- Fire Captain Kenneth E. Renz
- Fire Fighter Specialist Ulysses Duran
- Fire Fighter Specialist William Lenzen
- Fire Fighter Joseph Gandara
- Fire Fighter Andrew Pontious
Their names will be engraved on the Memorial Wall as a symbol of gratitude and enduring legacy.
