Open Screen Night at The Lyric Hyperion is back with new features and an updated schedule for 2025. This popular monthly event offers a platform for filmmakers to showcase their work, fostering a creative community of storytellers and enthusiasts.

New Feature: Pre-Reserved Screening Slots
To enhance accessibility, Open Screen Night is reintroducing pre-reserved screening slots. This option allows filmmakers to secure a guaranteed screening slot without waiting in line.
Attendees can now choose between two ticket options on Eventbrite:
- General Admission – First-come, first-served screening submissions.
- Pre-Reserved Screening Slot – Guarantees a screening slot without early arrival. Limited to three slots per event, these are priced higher to ensure they are reserved for dedicated participants, such as those traveling long distances.
Open Screen Scrapbook Initiative
A new Open Screen Scrapbook will preserve the event’s most memorable videos each year. This physical collection will be available at The Lyric Hyperion’s lobby, offering attendees a chance to explore the community’s creative history.
Each scrapbook will feature:
- User-Curated Pages – Attendees can contribute pages for standout videos.
- QR Code Access – Videos will be viewable via a dedicated Wi-Fi network at the venue.
- On-Site Crafting Sessions – Scrapbook pages for 2023 and 2024 will be created on the Lyric patio before shows. Arts and crafts supplies will be provided, or participants can design pages at home (12” x 12” format).
