On Monday, March 17, 2025, at approximately 08:46 P.M., South Pasadena Police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 1700
block of Garfield Avenue. The suspect was reported to have brandished a dagger while
committing the theft
During a search of the area, officers located the suspect on a Metro bus leaving
the area. The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Jose Floresolvera of Los Angeles, was
taken into custody without incident. Officers recovered the dagger and the stolen item
in Floresolvera’s possession.
Floresolvera was booked into the Pasadena City Jail on a
charge of robbery. The case has been forwarded to the Los Angeles County District
Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
