The Los Angeles College of Music (LACM) successfully hosted its first-ever Music Industry Summit, a landmark event showcasing the institution’s dedication to nurturing emerging musical talent. The summit featured live performances, industry-focused panels, and workshops, culminating in the official launch of 370 Music Group, a non-profit, non-exclusive record label and music licensing company based at LACM.

Empowering New Talent with 370 Music Group

Designed to provide a platform for students and alumni, 370 Music Group is a student-run initiative guided by the LACM Faculty Advisory Board. Unlike traditional student-run projects, the label offers both an artist label and a music licensing program, setting it apart as an innovative hub for emerging musicians.

Grammy Award-winning Hip Hop artist Rapsody, signed to Roc Nation, headlined the event, delivering an electrifying performance alongside emerging LACM artists.

Faculty Advisory Board: Industry Experts Leading the Way

The 370 Music Group Faculty Advisory Board consists of industry veterans who bring a wealth of expertise:

  • Erin Workman – Over 15 years in music publishing, A&R, and artist development, having worked with Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and Zac Efron.
  • Adam LaRue – Marketing strategist behind campaigns for Rancid, Plain White T’s, and major artists like Eminem and Blink-182.
  • Jennifer Smith – Music supervisor and founder of “Rat Dance Party,” with credits including American Idol and Why Women Kill.
  • Karla Ortiz – Digital marketing expert behind viral moments for Rihanna, Kanye West, and Mary J. Blige.
  • Michael Chrysanthou – Producer and composer for WWE Raw, NASCAR Race Hub, and top recording artists.
