Senator Portantino is now accepting nominations for his 2018 Women in Business Legislative Update and Awards Luncheon, which will take place at the Castaway in Burbank on Tuesday, December 4, 2018.

The Women in Business Legislative Update & Awards Luncheon was started by former State Senator Jack Scott while he served in the State Assembly and it has been an annual event passed down through State Legislators. The Women in Business Awards honor local women whose exceptional abilities have contributed to the economic vitality and diversity of the 25th Senate District.

This year’s keynote speaker is Dee Dee Myers, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Corporate Communications and Public Affairs for Warner Brothers, and the first woman in our nation’s history to be White House Press Secretary.

Enclosed you will find a nomination form and the nomination categories for this year’s event. Nominees must live or work in the 25th Senate District. Nomination forms are due by Thursday, November 1, 2018. We look forward to receiving your nomination(s) and seeing you at this year’s luncheon!
